A: Shaw and BP have collaboratively put a pricing structure together that reflects a 45% across the board discount off of list price. Contact your local sales representative for individual product prices. A sales rep locator can be found in the shawcontractgroup.com web site. Q: Does Shaw have a “Quick Ship” program? A: Yes, many tile products are on Quick Ship status. Please go to the shawcontractgroup.com website, select "Products", login, use the quick ship attribute in the custom search section to locate quick ship products. Q: How much should I budget for installation labor? A: Labor rates vary substantially depending on what part of the country (or world) you are in (i.e. labor in Houston will be noticeably different than in NY, Chicago, London, or Singapore). Contact your local sales representative. He / she will have a working knowledge of local rates. Q: I ordered carpet from Shaw several years ago and I now understand this product has been discontinued. Is there any way to obtain more of this product? A: Corporate clients are very important to Shaw and Shaw has instituted the “Timeless Program” for just this type of circumstance. Under the ‘Timeless Program” (and provided raw materials are still available) Shaw will produce any carpet tile product that has been discontinued for a minimum of 500 square yards. Q: I am attempting to have my project LEED certified. How can I determine how Shaw carpet tile products will affect the certification process? A: Go to the shawcontractgroup.com web site. In the web site there is a LEED Calculator. Select "Products" from the home page. After logging in, select the product you are considering. And then select the "Calculate LEED Credits" button to the right of the image. You will be prompted to enter additional information so the LEED contribution and credit points can be calculated for you. The USGBC required documentation will be available to print or email. Q: My project is very large, and I have a very tight budget. Are there provisions in the Shaw / BP contract for such circumstances? A: Yes. In the Shaw / BP contract, there is a provision which states for all projects over 7,500 square yards, Shaw is willing to set the contract aside and negotiate a lower price for BP. Q: Are Shaw Contract Group carpet tiles recyclable? A: Yes. Shaw Contract Group tiles backed with EcoWorx are cradle to cradle products. In fact, a toll free number is printed on the back of every EcoWorx tile so when the product has served its useful life, you can call to have the material picked up and recycled at no charge. Shaw returns used EcoWorx to the manufacturing process to create more EcoWorx products. Q: I am planning to renovate an existing facility. I am going to replace the carpet tiles that are currently installed. They are old and were manufactured by one of your competitors. Will Shaw recycle them anyway? A: Yes. Shaw may not be able to recycle the product into future carpet tiles due to the chemistry used in the original manufacturing process; however the product will not go into a landfill. Shaw will find the appropriate recycling avenue. |
